First of all, the place is in a locale Waterdeep that no 4th Edition sourcebook was ever made for.

On the reverse and on another 2-sided poster map are really nicely done battlemap tile poster images for several of the more interesting rooms and for the famous Yawning Portal tavern. The book contains details about the history of Undermountain, and three adventures set in the first level of this massive super-dungeon, along with two poster maps of the dungeon and encounter areas. It instantly became my office computer wallpaper. Kyle added it Jun 08, But DnD is different.
It comes with a fantastic poster map that has the entire floor map of the 1st level on one side and the interior of the Yawning Portal Inn on the other as well as another poster map with a couple of decent battle map locations on either side.

Every edition gets an Undermountain! Posted by Blacksteel at I imagine this name means many different things to many different players. Its not readily available but I figured I would point out one more source of 4e Undermountain goodness I have no plans of running it in the Realms fortunately I have a large cosmopolitan jonce that I’ve been itching to delve under but it’s still useful.
Production Quality The production quality of Halls of Undermountain is excellent, with an engaging writing style halld plenty of details, as well as a logical presentation of materials for ease of use of the product.
They do a great job of evoking the classic dungeon delve feel, where you might traverse many interesting rooms in a day before PCs stop to rest.
Follow the Author
The size and thickness of the folded maps did give me a bit of trepidation as I slowly tore them out of the covers, nalls concerned that the thickness of that many layers might make them prone to tearing. The original boxed product contained three adventures, plus pages more material and maps of not just one, but four levels of the Undermountain.
Refresh and try again. This content is undermountxin very good and does a great job of making this more of a story and dynamic adventure and less of a boring dungeon crawl. The book also provides tables for random dungeon room generation and for random encounters, which could be helpful beyond this adventure.
First, the book only really covers the first level of Undermountain.
